On the first day of your 3-day tour in the Merzouga desert, we will pick you up from the airport and drive south to the Merzouga Sahara desert. You will have dinner and spend the night in Merzouga.
Today, we'll spend the day exploring the Merzouga area, which is full of fascinating sites like sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil sites, and beautiful oases perfect for outdoor activities. We'll start by driving off-road to visit an old eyeliner mine. Then, we'll visit nomads in their handmade woven tents, where you can see how they live and enjoy a cup of Berber tea. Next, we'll head to Khamlia village to experience Gnaoua music and dancing, performed by people from Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You'll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we'll take a walk through a palm grove (Oisis). In the afternoon, you'll ride camels across the sandy desert, stopping on top of a high dune to watch the sunset before continuing to a luxury camp. Here, you can enjoy Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the camp.
