The Excursion Morocco Tours driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to Fes via Rabat. Along the way, you will see some main sights. You will stop in Meknes for a guided visit to Volubilis, where you will explore the Roman ruins and learn about the history of the lost city. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Fes and stay overnight at your Riad in Fes.
On the second day of our 6 Days Tour from Casablanca, we'll spend the whole day exploring Fez, the oldest cultural and spiritual city in the world, founded in 790 A.C by Moulay Idriss II. Your tour includes visiting the old medina, exploring its alleys and narrow streets. We'll start with the Jewish Quarter (the Mellah) and the Royal Palace (yard). Next, we'll visit the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine Mosque, considered the first university in the world. Lunch will be in the old medina at a typical Moroccan restaurant. You'll also get to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city. We'll stay overnight at the same Riad.
After breakfast in your Riad, we'll leave Fes and head to the Merzouga Sahara Desert, traveling through Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” During this journey, you'll see the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. We'll stop at Azrou in the cedar forest to see Barbarian Apes. Afterward, we'll drive to Midelt for lunch. Our journey will continue through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, the magnificent Ziz Gorge carved through volcanic rock, and along the spectacular Ziz Valley. We'll pass by Erfoud before reaching Merzouga. Finally, we'll stay overnight in your local hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel, the Excursion Morocco Tours driver will take you to explore the Merzouga dunes and meet the local people. You'll visit the village of Khamlia, where you will meet the Gnawa people and experience their music and lifestyle firsthand. In addition, you will visit some nomad families in the Sahara desert who still live under Berber tents made from the wool of their animals. You will have a traditional lunch called "Berber pizza." Afterward, you will visit Rissani, and if your travel coincides with the traditional souk held there, you can explore it. Later, we will drive back to the village of Merzouga, where your camel ride will be waiting for you. The camel ride takes about an hour to reach the Merzouga camp where you will spend the night. You will enjoy the sunset and the Berber music and dancing at the camp. This will be a magical night
On the 5th day of our 6 Days Tour from Casablanca, you will wake up early to see the sunrise. You wild drive to Rissani for a short visit. Then, you will leave for Todgha Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. Lunch will be on our way to Todgha Gorge, then you will drive through the Dades Valley, where you'll see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” You will stay overnight in a traditional Riad.
Finally, on the last day of our Morocco itinerary 6 Days from Casablanca, you will leave your Riad and head towards Marrakech. Before reaching Marrakech, you will explore the best of the Dades Valley. You will visit the Ouarzazate cinema studio, known as Atlas Studio or the Hollywood of Africa, where famous movies were shot. Next, you will visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning landscapes that have served as the backdrop for many Hollywood movies. You will then continue your journey via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to Marrakech. By the evening, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Marrakech, marking the end of our 6-day Morocco itinerary from Casablanca. We hope you enjoyed our company.
