Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Cider Forest - Atlas Mountain - Merzouga

Our 3 Days Fes to Marrakech Student Desert Trip Start early in the morning in Fes, where students meet their driver–guide and start the journey across the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is in Ifrane, a peaceful alpine-style town often called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its clean streets, cedar forests and cool atmosphere. After a short break, the road continues toward Azrou, where it’s common to see Barbary macaque monkeys playing in the forests The group then crosses the high plateaus of the Middle Atlas and arrives in Midelt for lunch, surrounded by rocky hills and quiet landscapes. In the afternoon, the route leads through the dramatic Ziz Valley, a long oasis filled with palm trees, ksars and traditional mud villages that appear like ancient mirages By late afternoon, the tour reaches Merzouga, the golden gateway to the Sahara Desert. Students can enjoy time to relax before starting the camel ride across the dunes, watching the colors of the sand shift from gold to amber as the sun sets. Upon arrival at the desert camp, everyone is welcomed with mint tea, followed by dinner and traditional Berber music by the fire. The night is spent in comfortable tents beneath a sky shimmering with countless stars.

    Day 2: Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todgha - Ouarzazate

The day begins of Our 3 Days Fes to Marrakech Student Desert Trip with a sunrise over the dunes, a quiet and unforgettable moment that gently paints the desert in soft morning colors. After breakfast at the camp, the group returns to Merzouga and continues toward the historic town of Rissani, known for its traditional souks and for being the birthplace of Morocco’s royal Alaouite dynasty The journey then moves toward Tinghir, where palm groves stretch like a green river through the desert mountains. Shortly after, the tour reaches the impressive Todra Gorges, towering limestone cliffs carved by an ancient river. There is free time to walk inside the canyon, take photos and enjoy the refreshing air between the high rock walls After lunch in the gorges area, the road continues into the Dades Valley, famous for its unusual rock formations, terraced fields and kasbahs scattered along the river. The day ends in a traditional guesthouse overlooking the valley, where students enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Day 3: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech

After breakfast, the journey continues along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, an area filled with ancient mud-brick fortresses and small villages. The landscapes gradually open up as the tour approaches Ouarzazate, a city known for its film studios and desert architecture.
A short drive brings the group to the remarkable ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful fortified villages in Morocco. Students explore the narrow clay paths, learn about the area’s rich history and enjoy views from the top of the old kasbah, where many famous movies and series were filmed After visiting Aït Ben Haddou, lunch is served in a nearby restaurant before heading into the High Atlas Mountains. The road twists through dramatic valleys and climbs up to the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of colorful slopes and traditional Berber villages. As the group descends toward Marrakech, the scenery transforms from rugged mountains into the warm plains surrounding the Red City In the late afternoon or early evening, the group arrives in Marrakech and the tour ends with drop-off at the hotel or riad, marking the end of an unforgettable 3-day student journey from Fes to Marrakech.
